This Privacy Policy explains how Back Tees Live ("Back Tees Live," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

• Account information — such as your name, email address, and authentication details used to create and secure your account.
• Golf activity — scores, rounds, handicap data, events, and related gameplay information you record in the app.
• Contacts you choose to invite — when you invite a friend, you provide that person's name and mobile phone number so we can send a one-time invitation text on your behalf. We only process contact details you actively choose to enter; we do not access or upload your device's full address book.
• Technical data — basic device and log information used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide core features: accounts, score and round tracking, handicaps, and events.
• To deliver one-time SMS invitations that you initiate to people you choose to invite.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.

SMS Messaging and Your Mobile Number

SMS messages are delivered through Twilio, which acts only as our messaging service provider that transmits the texts on our behalf. Twilio processes the phone number strictly to deliver the message and is not permitted to use it for its own marketing.

Message frequency: Invitation messages are one-time messages, triggered manually by an existing user inviting a specific contact. These are not recurring messages, automated drip campaigns, or bulk marketing. A recipient only receives a message when a user deliberately sends them an invitation.

Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out: Recipients can reply STOP to any message to opt out of further texts, and may reply HELP for assistance. Because invitations are one-time and user-initiated, opting out prevents future invitation texts from being delivered to that number.

Service Providers

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers to operate the Service:

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database) — used to manage accounts and securely store your account and golf activity data.
• Twilio — used solely to deliver SMS invitations, as described above.

These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to us and under their own security and privacy obligations.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and golf activity for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Phone numbers submitted for invitations are retained only as long as necessary to deliver the invitation and maintain related records, after which they may be deleted. We may retain limited information longer where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at [support@backteeslive.com]. Upon verification, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where retention is required by law.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
